Glad that he got caught and he will face the death penalty. Justice has been served.

Glad that he got caught and he will face the death penalty. Justice has been served. We mentioned the death penalty because he made a plea to avoid it. He was sentenced to life instead, but had a sentencing where all the surviving victims and victims' loved ones were able to speak and confront him.

Yeah as we mentioned before he was going to die in prison anyway even if given the death penalty.

The monster was formally sentenced today and after the loved ones of those he killed and his survivors spoke,he "apologized" for what he did. He's not sorry at all of course,he's only sorry he got caught. As those he hurt said after sentencing, hard to see how justice could be done 100% since it won't bring back those he killed or the women he attacked what they lost and the fact he got to stay free for four decades afterwards and they aren't wrong. At the end of the day though,he didn't get away with what he did and whatever time he has left,it will be behind bars with that knowledge and that is all you can really ask for here.

Ironically I just finished the first episode of "I'll Be Gone In The Dark" on HBO (I've read Michelle McNamara's book as well).
But yeah one might be able to buy remorse if it happened "only" one time (which is one time too many) but not over and over and over again.
I think DeAngelo is an arrogant d*****bag who is still in shock he got caught and thought he'd always get away with it. Underneath his mask in the sentencing photos is likely a smirk wiped off. He'll now have the rest of his life to wonder how law enforcement finally got the best him and he can die a sad sack of sh**.

The jailhouse videos of him show someone who is in far better shape then the frail elderly man he wants people to think he is. I hope he rots behind bars for a long time to come.
