I found a website that probably deals with Chicago fugitives and among them are Macedo, Jacob Maldonado, who is also being sought by the FBI, and former Top 10er Fidel Urbina. Also here's a new side photo of Macedo. crime.static-eric.com/most-wanted.htmlGreat job finding this toptenhunter. I remember a lot of these names and faces from a previous version of the Chicago Police Department's Most Wanted page. Thanks HeadMarshal, what caught my attention was the side image of Macedo, which I'm wondering why it wasn't included on his Ten Most Wanted poster. But anyways that photo is what lead me to that website.

At least he was caught before his airing which is even better. 😊

It wasn't as a result of The Hunt though, so I don't see how that's better lol.
in any case, if I was given a choice, a fugitive get captured before airing and not as a direct result, or gets captured by the Hunt as a direct result, I'd still choose captured before airing and not as a direct result, because getting these fugitives off the street and getting justice is more important than my favorite tv show taking credit.
I'm still allowed to be slightly disappointed The Hunt couldn't have been the reason for capture though lol.

It is somewhat disappointing he wasn't caught as a direct result of The Hunt and I hope another Fugitive amongst the Top Ten can be apprehended as a result of The Hunt. Also with Macedo's capture the FBI can be very flexible with their new additions and make it to 517

Obviously the most important thing is that Luis Macedo has finally been caught after eight years on the run. I remember how we were speculating that he was going to be a season premiere case for this season a few months ago. I wonder if that did happen, if could Luis have been become a direct capture. We'll never know of course.

Yeah that's the thing is the Hunt has yet to have an FBI Top 10 Direct Capture, but hey there's still time for Patel from this season at least. Now both Van Wisse and Macedo were captured before airing.
So yeah now I just realized Van Wisse I can be thrilled was captured before airing as well.
But don't get me wrong, once again, I'M THRILLED THAT BOTH VAN WISSE AND MACEDO WERE CAPTURED, I just have this slight disappointment it couldn't have been The Hunt but their captures overall were obviously was more important than being captured from the show.

And yeah I just realized Van Wisse is The Hunt's first ever technical FBI Top 10 capture (although before airing and not as direct result), not Luis Macedo lol.

Unfortunately it is a Yankees logo and it seems Macedo tried to cover up the crowns he had on his neck by covering it with more tattoos. My biggest question is when exactly did he get those tattoos?

Also it doesn't surprise me that tips placed him in Guadalajara and the FBI was onto him for sometime, because look at him, he didn't make much of an effort to change his appearance which also would make sense since 7 out of 8 years he wasn't on the FBI Top Ten list.

Pretty sure I found Luis Macedo in the Illinois Department of Corrections, with the DOB of 03/02/1988 and that same facial tattoo. According to the DOC, he was given a six-year sentence for Conspiracy to Commit Murder. I'm assuming he entered a guilty plea to get that reduced charge and sentence. www2.illinois.gov/idoc/Offender/Pages/InmateSearch.aspx

Looks like the state didn't have enough to convict him of the murder so they offered him a deal which he took since he didn't want to roll the dice either.

Unreal and a travesty of justice but I guess unfortunately there were a few participants so it would have been hard to say what Macedo's role was.
So this year hasn't been a good year so far for getting justice from the top ten list as Macedo got a light sentence and Welder Dubon will probably get a light sentence as well after only getting manslaughter. (Although while not blaming the victim, I understood the Dubon jury verdict. Whether there was more to it or not, it seemed the prosecution did not prove their case beyond a reasonable doubt that it wasn't self-defense. It is plausible that it was initially self-defense, just taken way too far, and unfortunately plausible means reasonable doubt).
