Freddie Alaniz is a very dangerous fugitive who is among the Texas Department of Public Saftey's Top 10 Most Wanted fugitives list. Below is the description of his alleged crimes:
Freddie Alaniz is a violent criminal from the La Pryor, Texas area and has connections to George West and Beaumont, Texas, as well as Veracruz, Mexico.
On February 7, 2006, Alaniz was arrested in Zavala County for Sexual Assault of a Child. He made bail and did not appear for trial. Two days later, he was arrested for Aggravated Assault in San Antonio for stabbing a male victim during a fight. He again made bail and fled.
On May 16, 2006, the Zavala County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Alaniz's arrest for Sexual Assault of a Child. On August 4, 2006, the Bexar County Sheriff's Office issued a warrant for Murder after Alaniz's assault victim died as a result of his injuries. Alaniz is also wanted in Zavala County for Possession of Marijuana.
Thoughts? As we've discussed on this forum before, fugitives that are perhaps the greatest threat to the public are those wanted for both a violent murder and a child-victim sex crime. Alaniz fits the criteria.
If Alaniz is in Veracruz, AMW nearly caught Omar Arenal there (but still hasn't unfortunately), so it should give us some hope.
