Perhaps there's additional charges that would total 25 years or that site is wrong?
In any case, think we're in agreement at the moment Price deserves a longer rather than shorter punishment. As you said it will be up to a Judge to decide that. However, when you run away rather than surrendering, of course a Judge is going to take that into account. There could always unfortunately be an Ethan Couch situation where some idiot Judge feels sympathy for the perp and gives him a slap on the wrist, but I think most Judges would look at a case like this and determine there needs to be a strict punishment.
A similar case of course, Chris Ponce from The Hunt, William Angel's father has said if Ponce surrenders, he will ask for a lighter sentence. Ponce still hasn't surrendered. So if he doesn't, then I hope he gets the max as well once he's caught.

The additional charges are two counts of DUI with Serious Bodily Injury each carrying a maximum sentence of five years in prison. Throw in the charges of failure to appear and bail jumping and there's a good chance Price won't be seeing anything but prison walls for the next couple of decades.
Carey Price took a plea deal and was sentenced to 12 years in prison- with 8 of them mandatory.
Grady Hill’s family was disappointed with the length of the sentence, but were glad to see justice finally done in the case.
Once he is released from prison, Price will be barred for life from driving, drinking alcohol or visiting a bar. (How exactly they plan to enforce the latter two is beyond me- even a probation officer can't watch someone 24/7- but in theory at least those are good rules.)
