Raul Sandoval was aired twice on AMW back in 2011. He was part of a group of three men that robbed a Taco Bell restaurat in Monterrey, California back in 2004. The robbery took a violent turn, leaving one employee brutally murdered inside a food freezer. Great news, he's been apprehended at the border crossing in San Luis port of entry border crossing in San Luis, Arizona. Once again, it looks like an indirect capture. But hey, there's been thankfully a ton of good indirect captures this past month, and this is an excellent capture! www.thecalifornian.com/article/20130227/NEWS09/302270044/2004-Prunedale-murder-suspect-arrestedwww.amw.com/fugitives/case.cfm?id=76993

There's been an onslaught of indirect captures this past month. I know I shouldn't complain but my only complaint is sometimes I do get tired of saying "Not a direct, but great capture" and would like another direct capture already! It's not the most perfect analogy but sometimes I feel like the backup Quarterback of the winning team in regards to indirect captures. Happy to see my team win, but wish I was more of a part of it. I don't work for AMW, so it's not the best analogy but I'm sure you get the picture. AMW.com's capture updates have been odd. They for the most part only do direct captures but made some exceptions. For example, Edward Salas and Felipe Torrealba but not Jose Saenz. Which is odd since Saenz was the most high profile. Not to mention, they mentioned Torrealba's capture on Facebook, but Salas, another USMS top 15 fugitive, was only mentioned on the website. And I still don't get the removal of DJ Friend. IMO, it's the oddest removal since Michael Alfonso. His direct capture report was changed to indirect despite records showing he is capture #801. Perhaps Friend is another Alfonso, where they're not going to lower the counter, but they're also going to back down from credit. Or maybe there was no room on the site. Sorry for going a bit off-topic here, just some thoughts I had.

i agree the capture updates have been odd i guess there are not many people working on the site anymore and that is understandable but irritating at the same time i guess they only update when they can and who they view as most ruthless or important as for David Friend Jr it is possible the official FBI report actually states that AMW did not lead directly to his capture During the month of November 2012, Sheriff’s investigators received a tip generated from the television show “America’s Most Wanted.” While this tip did not lead directly to the apprehension of Friend, it did lead to additional investigation that revealed information that led to locating and apprehending Friend. so its anyone guess

We discussed on the old forum how weird is regarding when AMW does and does not take credit for a capture. There are times they don't take credit when it seems it was the result of AMW, and other times AMW does take credit and none of us have any idea how AMW led to their capture.
But anyway, reduced staff is almost certainly the reason, as we discussed this as well last year. There simply isn't as many staff to maintain the website the way they used to. But they do the best they can.

Anyway, Raul Sandoval has been removed from AMW.COM. 99% of the time that means it is an indirect capture, except with the case of DJ Friend. No surprise that this is indirect though.
