John Walsh was just on CNN. He was at a forensics conference in San Francisco but did speak over the phone and of course confirms this was a direct capture for the show. He also claims this is the fifth direct result of The Hunt. Our "unofficial" count is this the third direct result, but who cares right now, let's just enjoy the good news for the next few days.

Ok, so I'm reading the Bring Lilly Home Facebook page and I wanted to also add this point, this case, as we all saw from The Hunt airing, was about a lot more than just vaccinations. The media likes the vaccination headline to grab reader's attention. (And even CNN is guilty of this, sorry but I have to be fair). This case was mainly about Megan associating with racist Virginia flaggers (not all flaggers are racist, but these particular people were), and having her child live in a house with unsecured weapons with a guy going on YouTube with a gun in his pants daring people to fight him and giving the address to that house. If one of these people had actually gone there, and it turned into a gunfight at the OK corral, Lilly could have been caught in the crossfire. And not to mention, Megan was rumored to possibly have mental illness as well. So while I have a history of mental illness in my family, and I do have some sympathy for that particular aspect of this case, it also reflects on why Megan was not in the right state of mind to care for Lilly.
I read the Find Lilly page and saw Megan's sister say that Lilly had actually received all her shots. It didn't become an issue until after the custody ruling. Megan used the vaccination issue as an excuse to kidnap her daughter. This was NEVER really about vaccinations. So we really need to stop focusing on that.

So they updated Everett was captured as a result of The Hunt after her 8 PM repeat tonight, but I am disappointed they didn't mention it in the introduction to tonight's new episode like they did the week after they caught Charles Mozdir. Hopefully they will next week. For those who just watch the new episodes, it would have been nice for them to have learned the great news.

I looked at the Bring Lilly Home website and Megan is still facing 10 years in prison. (Not enough but at least Lilly would be a teenager by then). And Robert Baumann was able to get a court order granting him custody and overruling the previous 50/50 ruling. In addition, a no contact order is in effect for Megan and Carlos Lesters.
So hopefully this stays in place. Still ridiculous to see all the legal loopholes here preventing full justice or at least feeling truly safe from Megan and Carlos, who I'm assuming can still be bonded out with the lesser charges (If Lesters faces any charges at all now since it was determined to not be a kidnapping).
Baumann's quote that if he had done this, he'd be in jail is dead on. Our site's #1 goal in my opinion, and AMW/The Hunt's goal is to protect women and children in my opinion, but there is a huge hypocrisy and bias against fathers when it comes to parental kidnapping cases.

Carlos Lester is free as his kidnapping charges were dropped. He is due in court on September 8th on other charges. Learned this from the Bring Lilly Home website.
Pretty ridiculous he's out free before his trial considering he helped conceal a child that didn't belong to him.

Update (sorta): The Sunrise woman who snatched her daughter and left the state in 2014, partly to avoid vaccinating the child, was in court Tuesday to ask a Broward judge for permission to see the girl again. Megan Everett, 24, pleaded no contest in September to charges of interfering with child custody and removing a child from the state contrary to a court order. She was sentenced to two years of house arrest and three years of probation, with Broward Circuit Judge Michael Ian Rothschild agreeing to withhold adjudication if she meets the terms of her sentence. A withheld adjudication would keep the conviction off Everett's formal criminal record. Everett had also been accused of kidnapping, but that charge was dropped. But one condition of her sentence was that Everett would need to comply with the family court's provisions on custody of her daughter, Lilly, now 4. The girl is now in the custody of her father, Robert Baumann, 28, of Davie. Baumann and Everett had reached an agreement in 2014 to split custody evenly, but after Baumann dropped off the child May 6, 2014, he wouldn't see her again for 15 months. Prosecutors say Everett and her boyfriend, Carlos Lesters, took Lilly out of state; the case was featured on "The Hunt With John Walsh." Everett and Lesters were caught in Putnam County in August 2015. Charges against Lesters are pending. On Tuesday, Rothschild told Everett that she could ask Baumann for permission to visit with Lilly and clear it with the family court, but that he was reluctant to intervene. In a telephone interview Tuesday afternoon, Baumann said he has full custody of Lilly for now, and he declined to discuss under what circumstances he would approve of visitation. Everett left the courtroom immediately after the hearing. She could not be contacted. www.sun-sentinel.com/local/broward/fl-megan-everett-plea-visitation-20161213-story.html

IMO, she shouldn't be allowed to see the child at all but if she must, has to be under supervision. She has already shown that she has no qualms kidnapping her daughter. What's to stop her from doing it again?
