Marlene Santana was abducted as an infant nearly 30 years ago. Her case was aired on Unsolved Mysteries, however I don't know if it was ever on AMW in the 1990s.
On Oct 18, 1985, Marlene Santana was born in a Brooklyn hospital to parents Francesca and Tomas. Three days later, Francesca noticed a woman looking at Marlene in the nursery. A few hours after that, Francesca and her sisters were taking Marlene out of the hospital when the same woman from earlier showed up and pointed a gun at Marlene. The four women then walked six blocks to a deserted junkyard. The gunwoman then grabbed Marlene and got into an awaiting vehicle, driven by an accomplice and they then drove away. The car was a 1976 white Chevy Malibu and the woman was described as being in her late 20's, and white with hispanic features, but with no accent. Authorities feel she was either abducted by a woman to raise a child, or was sold into an illegal adoption ring.
Thoughts? My issue with the raising a child theory is that it would be unlikely the woman would need an accomplice to drive her off, unless it was her husband or boyfriend. The abduction into adoption ring theory does make more sense imo.
